Welcome Kayla Vitullo, MSW | Case Manager

Family Promise Executive Director Jeff Wilhite is pleased to announce our intern, Kayla Vitullo, has been hired as a part-time Case Manager. Kayla began her service on April 15th. “We are so excited to have Kayla on our team," said Jeff, "She recently graduated from the University of Akron where she was an outstanding student, graduating from the top of her class. Kayla was an extraordinary Intern for us and I am confident she will be an outstanding Case Manger."

Kayla started as an intern at Family Promise of Summit County since August of 2019. "I am very grateful and excited to be back at Family Promise as an employee. I learned so much about the homeless population and the incredible work Family Promise staff and congregations do to change the lives of those in this community!" said Kayla.

Kayla holds a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Malone University and received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Akron in May. Prior to joining Family Promise, Kayla spent six years working in the mental health field.

"It’s been very exciting to see how the Glendora House has evolved since my internship started – I was able to see a lot of the preparation stage and now am able to actually assist in placing families there," Kayla notes, "I’m honored to be part of such an amazing team of people!"

Our case managers continue to provide comprehensive case management services to the families in our program via virtual conferencing until the shelter-in-place restrictions are lifted.

Thanks to Board Member Andrew Rothermel and Development/Marketing Consultant Laura Shank for their outstanding work to secure a $15,000 grant from The Huntington Bank Foundation to assist in covering the part-time position.
