Expanding Hope and Building New Beginnings for Families

I think most of you will agree that 2025 presented demanding challenges, challenges we did not see coming, increases in housing needs pushing us to a continued state of capacity. Thanks to our volunteers, donors, staff, and Board, through all the peaks and valleys, we were agile, focused, and doggedly determined to make bold steps to continue to be impactful for the children and families, and pets we serve.

We did not lose ground; in fact, we gained it with the addition of two more buildings to serve families. As of January 2, 2026, we have added two more apartment buildings at Copley Road, and four-ready to serve apartments, (soon to add a fifth unit in the building), on Forest Glen Avenue in Cuyahoga Falls. This takes us to serving 17 families at a time and will allow us to reach 90-100 families annually when both units are fully operational. Even more exciting is we own them now outright. There is no debt, thanks to the major grant from the Ohio Department of Development, (ODOD).

The ODOD grant has allowed us to purchase both buildings. Forest Glen is move in ready for the four existing apartment units. The grant affords us the resources to do some extensive upgrades which will allow us to address items now, versus down the road. The building at Copley Road will be a challenge, but a doable challenge. We have some seed capital from the grant after the purchase, but we will need to raise capital to complete it for occupancy. We have launched Rally for Renovations with the goal of raising $175,000. If you would like to help see the information at the top of the Webpage.
