Planned Giving: Leaving Your Legacy

Planned giving allows a donor to leave a legacy by designating future donations via several specific gift types that can be funded with cash, equity, or property.

When you do planned giving, you and the charitable recipient receive a lot of joy. There are many ways to give and it all results in improving lives. The gift improves your life for the pride of helping others and the appreciation of the recipient.

I have been honored to be involved in helping people give to others for over four generations. I have seen and felt the pride my clients have felt by helping others improve their lives. I also have been privileged to share in the pride when families see what their parents provide. What a wonderful legacy to leave for the family.

I have also seen when planning did not provide what the client wanted. This usually happens when they did not legally provide for their desires.

This article is the first of several that will be published. In the next newsletter, I will briefly describe the most common types of planned giving. In the meantime, I would be happy to offer my services to help you create plans to fulfill your current and future giving desires. There is no charge for my services, as it is part of my giving plan to help improve the lives of others.
