The Glendora House received funding from the Welty Family Foundation, $10,000 and Northeast Ohio Golf Charities, $6,500 to purchase and build out additional and much needed storage at Glendora House.
“We greatly appreciate the support of the Welty Family Foundation and Northern Ohio Golf Charities for their generous support for the storage building. We now have the ability to store much needed family supplies right on site, making service to the families much more efficient.”
The funding allowed FP to purchase a 12’ x16’ storage building. We were able to have S&K Asphalt and Concrete excavate and pour the cement slab for the building, TRY – Truly Reaching You, completed the Landscaping, TK Roofing and Gutters installed gutters and down spouts, Grey Enterprises installed the security locks, and we were able to purchase all of the needed shelving for storage within the building.
FP received a donation of used, put very well cared for, stadium seats that were originally from Canal Park Stadium in downtown Akron. TRY was able to install them along the playground side of the storage building. The seats allow parents to have a place to sit and watch their children enjoy the playground.
